MONTGOMERY G.I. BILL RECEIPIENTS

If YOU were in the military
- DD214 or N.O.B.E. (Notice Of Basic Eligibility)
- Go to VA’s website: www.gibill.va.gov if this is your first time using your Montgomery G.I. Bill benefits, complete and print out the Application for Educational Benefits form 22-1990
- If benefits were received at another college or university, (disregard #2) and go to VA’s website: www.gibill.va.gov and complete form 22-1995 (Change of Program Form)
- GUAC academic advisor’s approval to take remedial classes (if registered for MATH 130/131, ENG 129/130, READING 130 courses)
- Attach a copy of your schedule of classes with proper proof of payment (fee receipt, print out from the web, or Financial Aid deferment form)
- Complete semester VA benefit form.
- Submit items 1, 2 or 3, 4,5, and 6 at the counter or to the VA Counselor.
If YOU are a DEPENDENT of someone who was in the military
- Go to VA’s website www.gibill.va.gov and compete the Application For Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance form 22-5490 (CH 35)
- If Ch. 35 benefits were received at another college or university (disregard #1) go to VA’s website: www.gibill.va.gov and complete form 22-5495 (Change of Program Form)
- Attach a copy of your schedule of classes with proper proof of payment (fee receipt, print out from the web, or Financial Aid deferment form)
- Complete semesterVA benefit form
- GUAC academic advisor’s approval to take remedial classes (if registered for MATH 130/131, ENG 129/130, READING 130 courses)
- Submit items 1 or 2, 3-5 at counter or to the VA Counselor.
ALL CONTINUING STUDENTS (had VA benefits last semester @ TSU)
- Complete semester VA benefit form
- Attach a copy of your schedule of classes with proper proof of payment (paid fee receipt, paid print out from the web, or Financial Aid deferment form)
- Submit items 1-2 at counter or to the VA Counselor.
FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION WILL DELAY VA PAYMENT!!!
Note:*** Documents will not be processed until after the12th class day in the Fall/Spring semesters and after the 4th class day in the summer sessions***
